Hello, everyone!

I am Divine-Charlotte Kabeya, a 23-year-old Belgian native raised in a Congolese family. Currently, I am embarking on my first year as a master's student in HFIM, following a background in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Liege, Belgium.

​

My fascination with the profound impact of food on our health and well-being steered me towards this master's program. Delving into the mechanisms behind how various ingredients and products influence our health and how our dietary choices mold our well-being deeply intrigues me.

My approach involves intertwining various courses, facilitating connections between nutrition and other tangible concepts, thereby enriching my academic pursuit.

In this academic year, I am honored to serve as an ambassador for the faculty. Simultaneously, I am embracing the role of treasurer on the board of ISA UMAMI. Managing finances is a relatively new challenge for me, especially within a team of new faces, but I approach it with enthusiasm and a thirst for acquiring new skills.

As the treasurer, I am entrusted with budget management, ensuring sufficient funds for planned activities, meticulously recording financial transactions, and overseeing reimbursements and payments.

​

I am genuinely excited to have been chosen as a board member. Confident in my previous experiences, I am eager to contribute a fresh perspective to the board. I am fully committed to this new chapter with UMAMI and eagerly anticipate the activities and the valuable moments spent with fellow members.
